Evergreen Solar to Host Second-Quarter Conference Call on July 30, 2009

MARLBORO, Massachusetts (July 16, 2009) -- Evergreen Solar, Inc. (Nasdaq: ESLR), a manufacturer of STRING RIBBON™ solar power products with its proprietary, low-cost silicon wafer manufacturing technology, announced today that it will release financial results for its second-quarter ended July 4, 2009 after the market closes on Thursday, July 30, 2009.

Management will conduct a conference call at 5:00 p.m. (ET) that evening. The call will be webcast live over the Internet and can be accessed by logging on to the "Investors" section of Evergreen Solar's website, www.evergreensolar.com prior to the event.
